Susan La Rochelle, RDH, was born in Fargo, North Dakota and was raised in Minnesota USA. She has a Science Degree in Dental Nursing which she completed in1984. She has a BA in Elementary Education which she completed in 1992 – and was proud to make The Deans List. She obtained a BSc in Dental Hygiene in1994 and graduated with Honors. Susan worked as a Dental Hygienist in a private dental clinic in Europe for 5 years before moving to Melbourne in 2001.

This is when she started her career at South Yarra Dental Group. Her love and passion for Dental Hygiene fuels her desire to provide this important service to our patients. She is an extremely talented patient educator and very passionate about helping patients understand why complete oral care is so beneficial to their overall health. Whilst living in Minnesota Susan trained as a professional downhill ski instructor and downhill ski patrol. She became a member of PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) She also created a children’s ski school, where she served as Director for 8 years.

Her other hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, travelling, movies, yoga and she enjoys as much of the outdoor lifestyle as she can possibly do.
